Advanced Filtration for Everyday Use

The MC55 utilises a layered filtration system to help reduce airborne particles such as dust, pollen, and pet dander, along with certain household odours. The electrostatic HEPA filter is designed to capture a high proportion of fine particles under controlled test conditions.

Streamer Technology

Daikin’s Streamer technology uses a high-energy plasma discharge to generate fast-moving electrons that help break down certain airborne substances. This process is designed to assist in reducing odours, bacteria, and some indoor pollutants as part of the overall purification system.

Performance Testing

Laboratory testing conducted by SGS found that a Daikin air purifier model (MC55YPVM) reduced levels of specific test viruses, including HCoV-229E (a coronavirus strain) and Influenza A (H1N1), under controlled conditions in a sealed 10m³ chamber when operating in Turbo mode.

These results were achieved in a laboratory environment and may not reflect real-world performance in residential or commercial settings.
